So now that it is a new year, Details has given a new look to their powerpoint presentations. The presentations may seem boring since they are powerpoint, but they are extremely important. They are done in powerpoint because they are accessed by PC and MAC and this gives users access to not only view the presentation but make changes if necessary. The presentations are referred to as "GP's" (General Presentations). They get printed out and are brought along to meetings to potential advertisers. This is SO important because without advertisers the magazine does not get made. There are many topics for the "GP's". There is Retail, Fashion, Grooming, Finance, Alcohol, and so on. So my job was to reformat a few of these to the new look. At first it sounded boring, but it was kind of interesting to learn how to REALLY use powerpoint and it was good to know people actually used these for something. I also got to go on an errand to a paper store in Union Square called Paper Presentations. AMAZING. I had to get envelopes for something the publisher was sending out.
